I love to learn more about mystical and magical mamas using their creative wisdom to heal and nurture others. I first spotted Charlie's beautiful brand - Magic Organic Apothecary, when looking around a baby boutique a few years ago. I loved her whimsical illustrations and was drawn to the eco cardboard packaging. I was keen to learn more about the story behind her brand and try her beautiful products.... How was MOA born? As a baby my daughter suffered badly from eczema and so, ...

Big Creative Magic – Elizabeth Gilbert
A few weeks ago I luckily found myself at Alternatives, Creative Living Talk by Elizabeth Gilbert. I desperately wanted to go last year but the event had SOLD OUT and rescheduled. The universe or my friend Beth gifted me with a spare ticket. Normally when I go to these types of talks, I come away a little deflated, feeling less than, a little more lost - Hosts stand of stage and talk of how they healed themselves and sold XXX amount of books. This talk was different - Elizabeth was ...

I have found it so comforting and gives me the answers to some of life's baffling questions. Our Moon Sign also shows what we ...

Power to the Women
Power to the women Cause women got the power Sister can you hear it Getting stronger by the hour POWER POWER Power to the women On Saturday I joined a dear friend who I have known since we were 12 years old, to march for MILLION WOMEN RISE. Our stories have always been entwined and I'm so glad we came together to march on this day. We both became aware that abuse of women existed and had corrupted our maternal line at around the same age (11 years old). Kim is ...
A nurturing space for adults and children
Mamas, what has been the most depressing part of your mothering journey so far?? At the top of list is the lack of nurturing and welcoming spaces for mothers and children. We all know being stuck at home is isolating and suffocating. I have travelled far and wide, taking journeys of over an hour to seek solace in nurturing spaces. I often find my peace in the wild; walking in the woods and the fresh breeze at the beach. But it's not enough to visit there, I feel I have to live there, ...

The Invisible cord
The cord is never really cut and I really believe the way the cord was cut will dictate the attachment between mother and child. If cut gently, patiently and calmly then the connection can be the same, but if cut under shock and fear then the connection could be slightly more fraught. I have sensed this since my little one was born. Her cord was cut in a traumatic way. I felt the instant responsibility to heal the trauma, and it was completely overwhelming. Image via Александр ...
Musical healing
I was listening to a birth trauma webinar by Jennie Harrison (Enlightened mamas) a few weeks ago. Hearing her story took me back to my birth trauma which I'm still healing alongside my daughter. Listening in tears it was so enlightening to hear you can actually talk to your child about this trauma now.. This is something I just didn't think of doing, worrying Flo would be too young to connect with it. But we must remember we are always connected, age and stage does not ...
